Illuminating Barcelona’s Shortest Nights Through Spectacular Events
Crafting Iconic Celebrations on Barcelona’s Diagonal Avenue
When it comes to fusing culture, commerce, and high-energy celebration, few events have rivaled the impact of Intenz Diagonal. Conceived by Albert Garriga and orchestrated by Les Enfants—also the minds behind The Shopping Night Barcelona—Intenz Diagonal was a series of events that breathed life into the Diagonal Avenue during the summer solstice, the shortest nights of the year. Between 2013 and 2015, the spectacle offered a transformative experience to the city, infusing the streets with avant-garde art, high-fashion, and retail exhilaration.
The Creative Spark
Albert Garriga’s vision found its expression in three unforgettable editions that became a cultural cornerstone for Barcelona. Artistic direction and execution were overseen by Les Enfants, elevating retail to theater and culture to a lifestyle. Whether it was Zombie Boy casting a spell on the audience with his mesmerizing presence or the original Pop Art works of Andy Warhol adding another dimension to the event, the nights were meticulously curated to leave an indelible impression.
Elevating Diagonal Avenue
The Diagonal Avenue, a beating artery of Barcelona’s commercial landscape, was the chosen venue, deliberately spotlighted to shift the city’s retail and cultural focus. With over 60,000 attendees, a footfall of more than 45,000 in shopping centers like Pedralbes Centre and L’illa Diagonal, and record-breaking revenues exceeding 850,000€, the events showcased Diagonal Avenue as the ultimate hotspot for lifestyle activities in Barcelona.
